Over 500 cancer patients, comprising males and females, have been successful treated and discharged at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Birnin Kebbi, in Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria.
Hospital’s Chief Medical Director, CMD, Dr. Aliyu Hamza Balarabe, stated this while receiving wife of Kebbi State Governor, Nafisa Nasiru Idris, during her “Walk Away Cancer,” in the state capital, emphasising that cancer is not a death sentence.
The CMD represented by Acting Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, Dr. Muhammad ‘Danyaro Rilwanu conducted Nafisa Idris round some units of the Teaching Hospital, where she offered financial assistance to patients, and prayers for a quick recovery.
The hospital authorities advised the public to report all suspected cases of cancer, early to the hospital, especially among rural dwellers”. “As a teaching hospital, we have prioritised adequate and thorough care for all patients seeking treatment in our health facilities.
