Four months after encountering delayed scrutiny at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the Senator representing Kogi Central district in the Nigerian National Assembly, Natasha Akpoti-Udughan has again been briefly intercepted and detained by the officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service while traveling out of the country.
In a live video broadcast on her verified social media handle, the federal lawmaker is seen accusing Senate President, Godswill Akpabio for allegedly giving directives to the Airport authorities during her last trip in July, not to allow her leave the country to avoid any further image-damaging by granting interviews to the international media.
ait.live observed from the online video that within 25 minutes, her passport was released after her outburst as Immigration officials were seen to be apologizing and trying to pacify her that it was just a normal routine checks on her traveling document.

This is coming within 24 hours after Senator Okpoti-Uduagha’s 3-day constituency projects inaugurations carried out at her hometown in ihima, Kogi State to mark her 2 years in office.
For the past 6 months, there has been a frosty relationship between the Kogi State born lawmaker and the Senate led by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio since Natasha’s outburst of seat arrangement and alleged sexual harassment.
She was later slammed with a 6-month suspension and banned from all legislative activities and her entitlements and privileges as a Senator withdrawn including her security details.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has since resumed normal legislative duties at the Senate after serving out the entire suspension duration.
