Two persons reportedly got injured as a Twin tanker explosion occurred at the sawmill area in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Federal Road Safety Sector Commander, Aishat Saadu, who confirmed the development, said the incident occurred late at night on November 4 when two tankers exploded while transloading fuel from one to the other.
According to her, two victims sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital and are receiving and responding to treatment.
Saadu further added that the traffic situation is under control as officers of the corps have since cordoned off the area.
This latest tanker explosion is coming about 16 days after a tanker crashed on Essa-Agaie road, killing 57, while injuring about 60 others, when the tanker split its contents and people threw caution to the wind to scoop petrol.
