Gombe state government has assured that it is committed to fully pay all its state and local government retirees’ gratuities through the disbursement of 8.2 billion naira to over three thousand beneficiaries.
According to the State Governor Inuwa Yahaya, the move is part of his pledge to achieve zero gratuity backlog by 2027 ensuring every retiree should have fruitful retirement after years of service to the state
Governor Yahaya had cleared the backlog of twenty-one billion naira from previous administration.

The state government further disbursed one billion five hundred thousand naira to over eighteen thousand students, guaranteeing full scholarship and lunched a thirteen-billion-naira initiative for the girl child through the Adolescent girl’s initiative for learning and empowerment conditional cash transfer scheme
