Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani

As Nigeria continues to grapple with complex security challenges, Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has renewed the call for the creation of state police, describing it as the most realistic solution to the country’s localized security problems.

Speaking at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) Distinguished Lecture Series in Lagos, the Governor urged leaders to move from debate to decisive action by empowering communities and strengthening justice, trust, and opportunity as pillars of peace.

Delivering a lecture titled “The Role of State Governments in Overcoming Insecurity in Nigeria,” Governor Uba Sani emphasised that true security lies in fairness and collaboration among all tiers of government.

Director General of the NIIA, Professor Eghosa Osaghae called for strong partnerships between all levels of government to strengthen national security.
