In a Bid to mitigate the effects of farmers-herders clashes, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has warned traditional rulers, state and local government officials to desist from illegal land allocation across the state.
The governor gave the charge while inaugurating the White Paper Implementation Committee On The Report Of An Administrative Committee Of Enquiry, earlier constituted by his administration.

The Governor expressed confidence that the move will bring to an end the persistent land abuses and clashes between farmers and herders in the state.
Bala Mohammed warned both the traditional rulers and government officials who use their positions to allocate cattle routes for agricultural purposes, to desist from such acts, as those found wanting will face the full wrath of the law.
The Committee Chairman, retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sani Mohammed, promised to discharge their duties diligently and in line with the terms of reference.
The committee is expected to complete its assignment and submit a report within six weeks.
