Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas

Ahead of the anticipated defection of Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday November 19, the State has continued to witness more politicians withdrawing their membership of the PDP for the APC.

The latest on Monday were all members of the State House Of Assembly led by the Speaker, Kizito Bonzena have now moved to the APC, reportedly to show solidarity with the Governor’s new political ideology.

Also, all the Commissioners who form the State’s Executive Council have equally tendered their collective resignation as members of the PDP, as announced by the State Commissioner for Information and Re-Orientation, Zainab Jalingo.

The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, Abubakar Bawa has dumped the party, in line with the gale of defection sweeping across the State.

Bawa cited the unending leadership tussle and litigations at the national level of the main opposition party as reasons for leaving.
