For how long will Nigerians continue to live in denial and pretend that all is well when killings and kidnappings are on the increase and almost on daily basis?

Well, the Archbishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Archbishop Sunday Onuoha, wants political and religious leaders in Nigeria to urgently seek help rather than pretending and denying the worsening insecurity across the country.

Archbishop Onuoha gave the advice during Thanksgiving service for the Investiture and presentation of Archbishop of Methodist Church Nigeria on special duties in Abuja.

The Archbishop who made a passionate plea for unity and peaceful co-existence in a highly diverse nation, told the congregation that the current social malaise in Nigeria evident in the killings and kidnappings are such that require multi faceted approach to tackle hence the need for Nigerians to seek for help.

The Deputy Speaker of Nigeria’s House of representatives, Benjamin Kalu, insisted that effective collaboration between government and religious leaders must be prioritised in efforts to address the many challenges confronting the Nation.

The Thanksgiving service also highlighted some of the vision and mission of the church, which is to consistently win more souls for Christ, Develop spiritually fulfilled members and remain very active in serving humanity.
