The Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo in Akwa-Ibom State, South-South Nigeria has been granted to full international status by the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
Governor Umo Eno broke the cheering news upon arrival in Uyo, the state capital from official engagements outside the state.
The development of the aviation sector in Akwa Ibom state continues to record more feats with the Victor Attah International Airport , Uyo set to begin full international flight operations by 2026 after being granted the necessary certification by Nigeria’s aviation authorities.

Governor Eno pointed out the enormous benefits this would bring to the state. He maintained that the development had gone further to justify his movement to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC
The Victor Attah International Airport is the home base of the state-owned airline which has earned rave reviews as one of Nigeria’s leading airlines.
