The Kabiru Turaki-led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has issued Certificates of Expulsion to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja Nyesom Wike, and others who were expelled from the party at the controversial National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Turaki who was elected party’s National Chairman at the Ibadan Convention says issuance of the expulsion certificates is part of the process of issuing a disclaimer to affected individuals to alert the public that anyone who relates with them or does business with them on behalf of the PDP does that at his or her own expense.
Among those issued expulsion certificates are former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, Samuel Anyanwu, Umar Bature, Austin Nwachukwu, George Turner, among others.
On the resignation of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke from the party, Turaki insists the Governor has not officially informed the PDP of his resignation or defection.
This is despite a letter of resignation dated November 4, 2025 published by the governor on his official Instagram page confirming his resignation and acknowledgement of same by the chairman PDP Ward 2, Edo, the governor’s hometown
