The Wife of the Zamfara State Governor Huriyya Lawal has called on Christian women in the state to remain pillars of peace, strength, and progress within their homes and communities.
She made the appeal while distributing Christmas support items to Christian women’s groups at Government House, Gusau.
Though Zamfara is a predominantly Muslim state, the wife of the governor is building and sustaining goodwill with the distribution of cash and food items, describing the gesture as a token of appreciation for their continued support to the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal and in strengthening unity across religions
Representatives of the women’s groups expressed gratitude, noting that the support is timely and uplifting, especially at a period when many families are facing economic challenges.

Items distributed include bags of rice, cash donations, pasta, sugar, and cooking oil all aimed at easing the burden on households and helping them celebrate Christmas with dignity.
