Questions surrounding the conduct of Egor Constituency representative, Natasha Osawaru Idibia, have prompted the Edo State House of Assembly to demand her appearance within seven days before the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges.
This demand follows viral social media videos of alleged altercations at different times between the lawmaker and her husband, Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, also known as Tubaba.
Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly Blessing Agbebaku stresses that lawmakers must conduct themselves with dignity and responsibility, both in and outside the public eye.
In another development, the speaker briefed members of a new development regarding the scheduled appearance of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, before the House.
The plenary also sees the first reading of two bills: a bill to amend the Edo State Lottery Law, establishing the Edo State Lottery Regulation Commission and the Edo State Lottery Trust Fund and another bill seeking to establish the Edo State Emergency Management Agency and provide for related purposes.
