Four persons have been arrested in Kogi State by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, for allegedly trafficking 21 children.
The minors were being transported from Kano to undisclosed locations in the South West part of the country
While handing over the rescued children to the Kogi State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, the NSCDC spokesperson told journalists that the suspects were intercepted at Isanlu – a community along the highway in Yagba East Local Government Area, as the children were being transported inside a truck.

He disclosed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate believed to be involved in trafficking children to other States.
Officials told ait.live that the Kogi State Government, through the Ministry of Women Affairs, is expected to charge the suspects to Court in the coming days after investigations are concluded.
