With barely five days to the kick-off of the 2025 AFCON, Nigeria’s Super Eagles, this Tuesday takes on record winners, the Pharaoh’s of Egypt, at the Cairo International Stadium.
Both teams have intensified preparations for the 35th Africa Cup of Nations, billed for Morocco next week.
Twenty-five Super Eagles players are confirmed in camp as at Press time, including 2024 Africa player of the year, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, and Akor Adams.
However, 2023 Africa player of the year, Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon are still expected to arrive.

The Super Eagles will begin their campaign for a fourth AFCON title against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on Tuesday, December 23.
The Eric Sekou Chelle’s side will then face 2004 champions, Tunisia on December 27 and will wrap up their group stage proceedings against Uganda on December 30.
