The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture, describing security as the foundation of national development.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave the assurance at the joint graduation ceremony of Junior Course 100 and Senior Course 47 officers of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, in Kaduna State.
The joint graduation ceremony marked the successful completion of advanced professional military training for officers drawn from across Nigeria and allied countries.
Speaking on behalf of President Tinubu, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, described the occasion as a reaffirmation of discipline, professionalism, and patriotism within the Nigerian Armed Forces.

He noted that the officers completed their training at a time of evolving security threats, including terrorism, insurgency, cyber warfare and climate related conflicts, which require strategic thinking, inter agency cooperation and strict adherence to democratic values.
The President charged the graduating officers to apply the leadership, analytical, and operational skills acquired at the college with integrity, courage, and humility while mentoring younger officers and remaining loyal to constitutional authority.
The Federal Government said it is deepening reforms aimed at modernising the armed forces, strengthening joint operations, and improving personnel welfare and capacity development, stressing that a secure nation remains the bedrock of sustainable growth.
