Kogi Bandits Attack: Two Killed, Others Abducted In Kabba/Bunu

At least two persons have been killed and several others abducted following coordinated attacks by suspected bandits on Ihalé and Olle communities in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Those killed are identified as Williams Onimayin and Olowo Memobiayere.

Eyewitnesses say the attacks occurred simultaneously on Friday in both Olle and Ihalé communities, during which an unspecified number of residents were abducted.

The Chairman of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Dare Michael, confirmed the incident in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, John Omof.

He assured residents that the local government, in collaboration with security agencies, is on top of the situation and that those responsible will be apprehended.

The chairman added that efforts are ongoing to secure the release of all abducted victims. He also expressed sympathy with the affected families and communities, and prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased.
