The Lagos State Government has directed residents and business owners around the burnt Great Nigeria Insurance (GNI) building to leave immediately.
In a statement signed by the commissioner for information and strategy Gbenga Omotosho noted that the Government has sent experts who evaluated the site of the fire and warned against the inherent danger to lives and property of residents and businesses within 100 meters radius of the site.
Several buildings around the scene of fire according to the building control experts , have been compromised and must be evacuated at all cost.
For the shop owners now breaking into the no movement barrier zone created at the perimeter of the scene of fire incident the authorities have warned them not to endanger their lives in the process on entering the danger zone
