The Zamfara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced its electronic registration for members across the 14 Local Government Areas of the state.
Speaking on behalf of the Party during the flag off and training of the E-registration officials in Gusau, the publicity secretary Yusuf Idris said the exercise is aimed at obtaining accurate and verifiable data of party members as part of preparations for the 2027 General Elections.
The e-registration exercise is an online process designed to revalidate existing members while also accommodating new entrants into the party, from the national level down to the ward level.
Party leaders say the initiative will help eliminate uncertainties over party membership, with the wave of political defections in the country
With the introduction of a digital membership database, the APC hopes to clearly identify its members and strengthen its internal structure ahead of future elections.
