The National Chairman of the National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Josah Amupitan has assured Nigerians especially the voting public that under his watch, INEC is set to conduct a free fair and credible elections starting with the council elections at the Federal capital territory ( FCT) Abuja as well as Osun and ,Ekiti State governorship elections later in the year.
The INEC Chairman who made this public during the induction/ strategic retreat in Lagos Friday explained that the mandate is built on 5 pillars that are non negotiable to organize elections that are free from any form of interference, fair to all contestants and political parties, credible in the eyes of the global community, transparent in every processes, from polling units to result collation among others.
