The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police and other security agencies in tackling the growing security challenges in Kano State, through sustained special operations and inter-agency collaboration.
This assurance was given by the newly appointed Commander, 455 Base Services Group, Kano, Group Captain Mohammed Borgu, while addressing officers and men during the official handover ceremony at the Base.
The ceremony marked the end of the over two-year tenure of the outgoing Commander, Air Commodore Mustapha Suleiman, and the formal assumption of office by Group Captain Mohammed Borgu as the new helmsman of the 455 Base Services Group.

Addressing personnel, the new Commander warned that while welfare would be given priority, acts of indiscipline would not be tolerated under his leadership.
Earlier, the outgoing Commander, Air Commodore Mustapha Suleiman, charged officers and men of the Base to extend the same level of cooperation and loyalty accorded him to the new Commander, in order to sustain operational stability and success.
A profile of Group Captain Mohammed Borgu reveals, a Senior officer with vast regimental, tactical, and administrative experience, qualities expected to strengthen the Base’s capacity and contribute significantly to ongoing efforts to ensure peace and security in Kano State.
