The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State says it is witnessing a growing wave of acceptance across the state, as more than 12,000 new members have been registered across the 14 local government areas.
The State Chairman of the party, Kabiru Garba-Gusau, disclosed this while addressing party supporters at an e-registration centre in Sabon Gari Ward, Gusau metropolis.
Party leaders in the state say the calibre and experience of new members joining the ADC have boosted their confidence, describing the development as a strong foundation for electoral victory in 2027.
One of the newly registered members, Musa Garba, says his decision to join the ADC is driven by a desire to make a difference.
Although the Zamfara chapter is yet to receive high-profile defections from major political figures, party officials say the increasing number of grassroots supporters signals a rising momentum.
With thousands already registered, ADC members remain optimistic that the movement will translate into victory at the polls and a new political direction for Zamfara State in 2027.
