A high-level delegation from the United States government is expected in Nigeria as part of the President Donald Trump administration’s moves to protect communities impacted by terrorism.
This is according to information on the website of the U.S State Department.
The team led by Under Secretary of State, Alison Hooker is part of American side’s Joint Working Group which was set up in the aftermath of the re-designation of Nigeria as a Country-of -Particular Concern.
The U.S delegation will also engage in talks on Nigeria’s counter terrorism efforts.
Only last Tuesday, the U.S African Command, AFRICOM announced the delivery of military packages to Nigeria.
And the White House also announced military assistance worth over $400 million to some of its partner nations which includes Nigeria.
