CAN Northern Nigeria Presents Relief Materials To 1000 Vulnerable Groups In Benue

The Christian Association of Nigeria from the Northern States of the country have reached out to a thousand vulnerable groups in the State.

CAN chairman of the 19 northern states Joseph Hayap made the presentation of relief materials comprising of food items on behalf of the organization in Makurdi the State capital.They are on a mission in Makurdi the State capital where they reach out to vulnerable groups which includes Internally Displaced Persons from Yelwata in Guma local government as well as those from several communities in Gwer West local council and physically challenged persons in the State here the CAN secretariat.

Hayap speaks on plans to extend the gesture to other States glapping with issues insecurity and displacements.

A gesture appreciated by the State Government who was represented by King Ajav

Earlier in his welcome remarks the CAN vice chairman Terwase Ugbede expressed concern that some communities in the State have continued to suffer insurgency for the past 15 years with no respite in sight.

Items donated include bags of rice,beans,corn,vegetable and palm oil,sugar,salt as well as seasoning cubes.
