President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between both countries.
The President left the country this afternoon at about 2:05 p.m., beginning a visit focused on deepening collaboration in key areas including security, education, social development, innovation and aviation.
During the visit, President Tinubu is expected to hold high-level political and diplomatic talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on shared interests in finance, communication, trade and investment.

The programme of activities includes meetings between senior government officials of both nations and the signing of memoranda of understanding covering scientific research, energy, technical cooperation, media and communications, military collaboration and diplomatic protocol.
A Nigeria–Türkiye business forum will also be held as part of the visit, bringing together investors from both countries to explore investment opportunities and strengthen private-sector partnerships.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria at the conclusion of the state visit.
