Ekiti state commissioner of police, Tunde Mobayo has advised criminals to stay away from the state in the new year.
The Commissioner who gave the advise while giving gift items to the first baby of the year in Ado Ekiti also reiterated the commitment of the state Command to the protection of lives and property.

The coordinating consultant of the hospital, where the first baby of the year was born on January first, 2022, Bode Olofinbiyi said the hospital is working with a non governmental organization for the opening of a referral center for domestic violence victims.
The Commissioner of police, noted that the police Command is already working out plans for more inter agency collaboration in the new year in tackling security challenges within the state.
