Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has made a return visit to Onitsha Main market this Monday, just a week after he ordered a week-long shutdown of commercial hub.

The market lockdown directive was a consequence of the traders defiance of the Governor’s earlier order to resume trading activities every Monday, and end the protracted Monday sit-at-home action.

Governor Soludo’s visit this second time to the Onitsha Main market, is received by a mammoth crowd of the traders, unlike the previous week, giving them a message of hope, and declaring an end to sit-at-home action in the market.

This development comes five years after the proscribed separatist agitation group, IPOB enforced the civil disobedience action across the South East region of Nigeria.
