Leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC on Thursday met with President Bola Tinubu to review preparations and ensure smooth coordination ahead of the party’s congresses and national convention.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yiltwada, said discussions focused on the party’s timetable, planning activities, and the political environment surrounding the exercises.
He added that the meeting also considered the need for closer coordination between the party, the federal government, sub-national governments, and the National Assembly to keep all stakeholders aligned.
Professor Yiltwada highlighted that the APC’s growing membership, including new governors and elected officials, makes inclusivity a central priority in the convention and congress processes.
The meeting included President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, along with principal officers of the National Assembly.
Professor Yiltwada said President Tinubu offered guidance based on his political experience to ensure the party’s preparations are smooth and inclusive.
