The Southern Governors’ Forum has expressed deep sorrow over the deadly terrorist attacks in Kwara State’s Woro and Nuku villages, which claimed at least 162 lives.
In a statement, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Chairman of the Forum, condemned the “dastardly terror attack” and called for the prosecution of the perpetrators, believed to be Boko Haram affiliates.
He described the targeting of residents refusing Sharia law as “most horrendous” and emphasized Nigeria’s secular status.
Abiodun urged law enforcement agencies to track down the attackers and ensure they face the full extent of the law, saying Nigerians deserve to live without fear of violence.
He commiserated with Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq and the affected families
