Contrary to earlier speculation, former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, remains in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
El-Rufai honoured an invitation by the anti-graft agency on Monday over alleged corruption during his time in office.
There had been widespread rumours suggesting that the former Governor had been released.
However, in a telephone conversation with ait.live, the Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, confirmed that El-Rufai is still in custody.
