Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC Joshua Ishaku has been announced winner of the Bwari Area Council Chairmanship polls.
The Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Mohammed Nurudeen who announced the results Sunday says APC’s Ishaku polled a total of 18,466 votes to emerge victorious in the February 21, 2026 Election.
Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC got 4,254 votes while the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP secured 3,515 votes respectively.
The chairmanship election was conducted across the 10 wards of Igu, Shere, Dutse, Ushafa, Byazhin, Kuduru, Kubwa, Usuma, Bwari Central and Kawu.
