Nigeria’s new Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu has inaugurated a committee on State Police.
The committee has Professor Olu Ogunsakin as Chairman, with Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni as secretary and five others as members, including retired Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ojukwu.

The task of the committee is to review the State Policing framework and propose implementation strategies within four weeks from today.
