The Police say they have recorded another breakthrough in ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities and restore peace across Zamfara state, with the arrest of a suspect found in possession of a large cache of live ammunition.

In a statement released by the Command’s spokesperson, Yazid Abubakar, the arrest was made on March 10, 2026, at about 7:50 p.m.
According to the statement, a team of police operatives on routine patrol along the Gusau–Funtua Federal Road at the Yankara checkpoint acted on credible intelligence, which led to the arrest of 25-year-old Mannir Adam of Yankuzo Village in Tsafe Local Government Area. The suspect was riding a red Boxer motorcycle at the time of the arrest.
