A total of 100 operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, from the Anambra State Command, have graduated from a combat and arms drill training at Nigeria Police College, Oji River in Enugu State, South East Nigeria.
Commandant of the College, AIG Bretet Emmanuel Simon, on Thursday, certified the combatants fit for required security operations, coming at a time of Nigeria’s most critical security challenges.
AIG Simon urged the operatives to show professionalism and utilise the tactical knowledge acquired in the two-week rigorous training programme to combat crimes within their areas of operation.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, DCP Ezekiel Ibrahim, who stood in for the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, notes that the training is designed for physical readiness and improved service delivery, assuring that the Command will continue to prioritise capacity building and professional development.
The operatives comprising 61 Constables, 26 Corporals and 13 Sergeants, drawn from the Anambra State Police Command, were presented with certificates.
