The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has transferred ₦3.936 billion in recovered funds to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
The handover took place at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja, where the Commission’s Secretary, Mohammed Hammajoda, presented the funds on behalf of the Executive Chairman.
According to the EFCC, the money was recovered following thorough investigations into fraudulent activities linked to some actors within NNPC Limited.

Receiving on behalf of the company, Executive Vice President (Downstream), Mumuni Dagazau, described the development as a strong example of institutional collaboration and a boost for accountability in the oil and gas sector.
The EFCC says the move reinforces its commitment to protecting public resources and promoting transparency.
