The managing director of the Niger delta development commission (NDDC), Samuel ogbuku, has urged the people of the Niger delta region to support the on-going call for an economic vibrant region by investing in the region.
The managing director of the NDDC made the appeal during the first Niger delta business roundtable organized by the Niger delta Chambers of commerce, industry, trade, mines and agriculture NDCCITMA, in port harcourt, the Rivers State capital South South Nigeria.
The theme of the Niger delta business roundtable is, “creating a new development agenda for the niger delta region.”
The managing of the NDDC, Samuel ogbuku, says growing the region’s economy is not a tea party but a deliberate step by the people of the region to invest and promote economic activities within the region.

The keynote speaker, simbi wabote, said the development policies by policy makers should be devoid of politics, to encourage participation and sustainability
The board chairman of the NDCCITMA, idaera ogan, said the business roundtable was an opportunity to examine issues that have impacted negatively on the region and find possible ways of addressing such challenges that had continue to hinder her growth.
The business round table brought together entrepreneurs, financial institutions, state governments and Chambers of commerce across the Niger delta region.
