Niger State Governor, Umar Bago, has called on Muslims to remain law-abiding citizens and imbibe the spirit of love and tolerance.
The Governor stated this shortly after joining thousands of worshippers at the Suleja prayer ground to observe the two-unit congregational prayers in commemoration of this year’s Eid-El-Fitr.
The Salanke of Zazzau Suleja, Abdullahi Kasim, led the prayers, which were also attended by the Emir of Suleja, Muhammadu Awwal Ibrahim.
Bago, who gave gratitude to Allah for witnessing another Eid peacefully across the State, prayed for continued peace and development of the State.

He also encouraged Muslims to always persevere, respect one another irrespective of religious background and imbibe the lessons learnt during the Ramadan fast.
He used the medium to again caution those who chose the path of violence to renounce it, as security agencies will not hesitate to take their course and deal decisively with perpetrators.
Emir of Suleja, Muhammadu Awwal Ibrahim in his remarks, appreciated the governor for coming to celebrate Eid -El- Fitr with the people of Suleja and used the medium to call on them to continue to pray for the peace and development of the State and the Country at large.
