Operatives of the Nigeria Police in Abuja have arrested four men accused of impersonating the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in an alleged land fraud of over ₦150 million.
The prime suspect, Yashim Kajang, was arrested on March 24 in Kurudu. Investigators say he allegedly deceived a retired military officer, Major General A. K. Ibrahim (rtd), and other victims by promising to secure land allocations in Guzape II Cadastral Zone.
Police say Kajang claimed to have links to the FCT Minister and the Director of Lands, and allegedly collected huge sums to process documents for Plot 1985 and other properties.
During interrogation, he reportedly named three accomplices, including officials in the Urban and Regional Planning Department of the FCTA, said to have supplied land information used in the scam.
All four suspects are under investigation.
