Members of the All Progressives Congress in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State have raised concerns over an alleged move by some party leaders to alter the original list of elected party executives ahead of this month’s primary election.
The aggrieved members warn that if the issue is not urgently addressed, it could lead to litigation.
The loss of confidence by members of the party is coming within weeks to the All Progressives Congress primaries across the country.
These party members are protesting what they described as an attempt by some leaders to substitute the list of duly elected local government executives.

The protesters, who marched through major streets and later to the palace of the Olukare of Ikare, also insist that Akoko North East should produce the next House of Representatives candidate.
They argue that allowing Akoko North West to retain the seat after eight years would be unfair.
They called on party leaders to uphold equity, fairness, and existing agreements in order to maintain unity within the party.
