The traditional ruler of Ishinkwo community in Onicha Local Government Area of the State, Eze Josephat Ikegwu, was reportedly attacked by his assailants on the night of April 1 at his residence.
Locals told AIT.live that the incident happened at about 10:30pm when the heavily armed men stormed the residence and opened fire on the apartment of the monarch, shooting him through the window of his bedroom, and killing him instantly.
His wife and other family members were unhurt in what appeared to be a well planned attack that lasted for minutes.
