Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has attributed the significant infrastructural development recorded in the state over the past one year and five months to the strong synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government.
The governor made this known while receiving principal officers and members of the Edo State House of Assembly during an Easter visit to his private residence in Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of the 24-member House, the Speaker reaffirmed the Assembly’s continued support for the policies and programmes of the Okpebholo administration, aimed at delivering on its campaign promises to the people of Edo State.
The lawmakers reiterated their commitment to maintaining a productive partnership with the executive, emphasizing the importance of unity in governance.
Governor Okpebholo expressed appreciation to the lawmakers for the cordial working relationship between both arms of government, noting that the cooperation has fostered unity and accelerated development, particularly in infrastructure.
He called for sustained collaboration to achieve even greater progress in the years ahead.
Both the governor and the lawmakers expressed optimism about a brighter future for Edo State, anchored on continued harmony between the executive and legislative arms of government.
