THE Kogi State Police Command has established a new Divisional Police Station in Edumo, Kabba Bunu LGA, to strengthen security and combat insecurity in the area.
The Commissioner of Police, Naziru Kankarofi, emphasized the need to prioritize community policing to tackle the growing insecurity across the country.
It is the first police station to be commissioned in Edumo, Kabba Bunu, and it brings with it, the hope that incessant attacks will be drastically reduced and that those behind insecurity will be arrested and brought to justice.
Various speakers at the commissioning described it as a welcome development that renews hope for a safer environment.
The Kogi State Commissioner of Police Naziru Kankarofi noted that more investment is needed in security sector while commending the people and government for their support in the fight against insurgency and banditry.
