Civil Society Partners on Electoral Reform has called on the National Assembly not to extend its New Year holiday but resume as scheduled on January 18th to avoid further delay of legislative works on the pending Electoral Act Amendment Bill.
Addressing journalists in Abuja on Monday, the group said the alleged postponement of resumption date iby the federal lawmakers could cause serious set back for the country.

The pro-democracy group also urged members of both chambers of the National Assembly to make necessary adjustments legislative to the bill within the first two days of their resumption.
This was as it called on the federal lawmakers not to allow their selfish interests affect the passage of the bill.
