Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku says the commission will continue to promote transparency and good governance in line with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu administration.
The Managing Director stated this during the commission’s enlightenment session on good governance and ethical conduct for public servants in Port Harcourt, Rivers State in partnership with the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB.
The one-day training workshop for staff of the NDDC is part of the commission’s commitment to ensure that its workforce are well abreast with the laws guiding public servants ethical conduct and asset declaration.
Dr. Ogbuku said the training is not about penalties but to ensure staff compliance with good governance and transparency, while discharging their functions.
The Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Abdullahi Bello says the training is a serious investment and moral compass to protect public funds and ensure effective utilisation of resources.
The staff were trained on how to exhibit good conduct and compliance with asset declaration.
