The Abuja Zone of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has warned that plans to share or take over parts of the Bosso Campus of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, could trigger student unrest and riots.
Zonal Coordinator, Professor Adams Al-Amin, says similar arrangements in other institutions have led to friction, urging authorities to halt any form of land grabbing or facility sharing.
ASUU is also calling on President Bola Tinubu to intervene, cautioning both the Niger State Government and the university’s Pro-Chancellor, while insisting it will resist any attempt to victimise its members.
