Nigeria’s House of Representatives has announced the death of Mohammad Danjuma Hassan, who represented Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency of Kano State.
House spokesperson Akin Rotimi Jr said the lawmaker died Friday evening in Abuja after a brief illness and will be buried Saturday according to Islamic rites.
Elected on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in 2023, Hassan served as Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, and was a member of several key committees.
Speaker Tajudeen Abbas described his death as shocking and painful, praising his dedication to service, and prayed for Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
