The African Democratic Congress has criticised President Bola Tinubu following the decision by the United States Government to evacuate non-emergency embassy staff and their families from Nigeria over security concerns.
Through its spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party accused the president of being distracted by politics amid worsening insecurity, describing the U.S. move as a sign of declining international confidence in Nigeria’s safety.
The ADC also linked the development to recent killings of soldiers, including Brigadier General Oseni Braimah, warning that repeated assurances without results reflect deeper systemic failures.
The party, while mourning fallen troops, urged urgent and focused leadership to tackle insecurity and restore confidence.
