The wife and two daughters of a lecturer at the Federal College of Education Technical, FCET, Gusau in Zamfara State, Abdulrazak Muazu have regained freedom.

A colleague of the lecturer, Mohammed Lawal confirmed the released of the three kidnap victims to AIT News.

He said the lecturer’s Wife, Binta Umar Jabaka and two daughters, Maryam Abdulrazak and Halsat Abdulrazak were released in the early hours of Monday after payment of ransom to the abductors.

The abductors had demanded N50 million as ransom from the family before they would free the lecturer’s wife and two daughters.

Lawal told AIT News that ransom was paid but did not disclose the amount which the family settled the abductors to secure the released of the three victims.

AIT gathered that the family of the three victims paid N10 million before their abductors freed them.

It would be recalled that the lecturer’s Wife and her two daughters were abducted in their residence at Mareri in the outskirts of Gusau Metropolis on Saturday 1st January 2022.
