The 2026 President Federation Cup in Edo State is gathering momentum as semi-final matches continue to deliver thrilling moments at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

Fortress Ladies FC recorded a 1–0 victory over Spunky Blazers in the women’s category, while Westgate FC also secured a narrow 1–0 win against Ine Stars FC in the men’s category, with one more crucial semi-final match left to determine the final lineup.

In the women’s category of the semi-final fixture, Fortress Ladies Football Club secured a slim but decisive one-nil victory over Spunky Blazers FC.

The breakthrough came in the fifteenth minute when Ehi Adokponyi capitalised on an early opportunity to give Fortress Ladies the lead.

In the men’s semi-final, Westgate FC edged Ine Stars FC by a lone goal in another tightly contested encounter.

Opeleye Elijah early strike in the tenth minute with a goal that ultimately proves decisive.

Coaches of the participating teams and players commended the quality of the matches, highlighting the intensity and steady improvement in local football.

They also express appreciation to DAAR Communications Plc for their continued support, which they say has boosted team morale and enhanced visibility of the competition.

Defending champions, Bendel Insurance FC will take on St. Andrews FC on a later date to decide the remaining finalist.
