A former Executive Director of News at DAAR Communications Plc, Imoni Amarere has been conferred with an academic doctorate at the University of Abuja, during its 29th and 30th combined convocation.
Dr. Amarere says education remains a powerful tool to make dreams come true. He also shares his motivation to return to the classroom after long years of service in the broadcast Industry
The combined convocation ceremony is a testament to the quality of leaders being produced by the University who are ready to impact knowledge on the younger generation.
Others conferred with the academic doctorate include a human rights activist and lawyer, Maxwell Opara. He explained that acquiring more knowledge is important to addressing emerging societal problems.
The combined convocation was not just a ceremony but a milestone in the journey for these men and women whose voices continue to resonate in addressing many societal ills.
