Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, has continued to justify the confidence reposed in him through impactful leadership and people-oriented development.
Speaking at the commissioning of key projects in Yenagoa and Oporoma, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Professor Osinbajo notes that Governor Diri has proven that he is the right choice for the state.
It was another day of project commissioning in Bayelsa, as former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo began the day’s activities with the inauguration of the 6.7 kilometre Oxbow Lake/Agbura Road in Yenagoa.
He preceeded to Southern Ijaw, making a symbolic stop at the Angiama–Oporoma Bridge, a project whose groundbreaking he performed on February 19th, 2022.
At Oporoma, the former Vice President commissioned a modern referral hospital expected to cater to the healthcare needs of Southern Ijaw Constituencies Two and Three.
Clearly impressed, Osinbajo noted that when leaders understand the purpose of service, the people rejoice.
Governor Douye Diri says development must be intentional, stressing that leadership is meaningful only when it improves the lives of the people.
For residents of the area, the projects represent long-awaited dividends of democracy, as they express gratitude to the governor for matching promises with action.
